The Athletic Club KC beat the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 6-4, at The Dungeon in Halifax. The Athletic Club KC got a fine performance from third baseman Mike Ríos, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Indigo Diaz notched his 5th save in 12 chances.

With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Ríos came up to bat against Nova Scotia pitcher Everton Stirzacre. Ríos hit a curveball to left for a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season put the Athletic Club KC on top, 3-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Ríos.

With the win, Athletic Club KC pushed its record to 62-43.
