Lighthouse Top Rocketeers, 11-7
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Boeing Dome.
Seattle got a terrific game from designated hitter Ta-hye Keng. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Long Island, 11-7. Keng went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. Lloyd Natoff, now 5-2, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0.
Long Island used the timely hitting of Dylan Stavely to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Seattle manager James Walker.
The 6th-place Lighthouse have a record of 52-49.
