Patriots Prevail, 5-3, Over Pittsburgh
|
The Boston Patriots topped the Pittsburgh Kingfishers by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Marcus Shill. Shill was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Patriots. The winning pitcher was Clarence Jones. His record is now 1-0. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Patriots.
