|
A good performance from second baseman Dídac Nores helped the Boston Patriots defeat the St. Louis Coeur, 3-1. Nores went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Patriots. Boston reliever Jeremy Gonzáles picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Valentin Calhamar was saddled with the loss. Boston raised its record to 44-30 with the win.
Nores contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Boston in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Nores took a fastball from Valentin Calhamar and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Patriots to leap in front, 2-1.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Nores said.
