Athletic Club KC Prevail, 4-3, Over Long Island

The Athletic Club KC topped the Long Island Lighthouse, 4-3, in United States Premier League action at Athletics Park. The standout performance belonged to Athletic Club KC pitcher and St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica, native Gary Ashley. Amin Yahouse, credited with the save, is now 9 for 10 in save opportunities. With the win, Athletic Club KC pushed its record to 38-29.
In the bottom of the sixth, Athletic Club KC center fielder Daniel Hannaford gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Shell hit his 3rd home run of the year. Long Island pitcher Shem Burkholder surrendered it. With that, the Athletic Club KC jumped in front, 4-3.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Ashley told the Athletic Club KC Daily News.
