The Long Island Lighthouse took Seattle pitcher Virgil Dickerson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Lighthouse. The final score had Long Island getting past the Rocketeers, 5-3. Dickerson went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. The winner was Bill Glenn in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Basilio Delgado took the loss. Lloyd Natoff closed the door for Long Island, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Long Island took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, third baseman Elias den Blick hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said den Blick.

Seattle drops to 2-4.
