Led by Jorge Napolez, the Long Island Lighthouse downed the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-4. Napolez was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Lighthouse. Long Island reliever Mac Hippenhammer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Urs Ehles shouldered the loss. Long Island is now 29-22, San Mateo 20-31.

Long Island used a clutch hit from Jonas van Claveren to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Both teams played hard," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
