Athletic Club KC starter Conor March was in fine form against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Atlantica, leading his team to a win, 5-3. March got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. March allowed 2 runs. Amin Yahouse nailed down his 6th save.
Athletic Club KC used the timely hitting of Daniel Hannaford to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Athletic Club KC on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," March told the Athletic Club KC Daily News.
The win gives Athletic Club KC a season record of 29-22.
