Leviathan Sneak Past Patriots, 4-3

Fans watched the Nova Scotia Leviathan and the Boston Patriots fight to the finish.
The Boston Patriots got a superb performance from third baseman Carlos Rivera, but the Nova Scotia Leviathan still won the game, 4-3. Rivera went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Cullen Taylor, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings.
In the top of the eighth, Nova Scotia left fielder Benno Luby stroked a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit put the Leviathan in front, 4-3.
Luby called the win "a team effort."
Nova Scotia is now 22-26.
