Rainbow Mermaids Lose to Kingfishers in Walk Off
Northern Virginia third baseman Chan-ho Shinn was sensational. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Pittsburgh beat the Rainbow Mermaids, 7-6. Pittsburgh reliever Jeffery Meyers picked up the win to move to 3-0. Wayne Compton suffered the loss. Pittsburgh is now 19-26, Northern Virginia 20-25.

The most significant at-bat for Pittsburgh came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. Kingfishers center fielder Naganori Inoue hit a 2-run double to win the game.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Inoue. "And not try to do too much."
