Rocketeers Walk It Off for 19th Win of Season
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan got a superb performance from pitcher Rod Watts. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Seattle. The Rocketeers won the game, 6-4. Watts threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win puts the Rocketeers at 19-25, while the Leviathan drop to 19-25.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Seattle trailing 4-3, Yasuhiko Onishi hit a fastball from Tom DeHart for a 3-run home run, giving the Rocketeers the walk-off win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Onishi. "It was a great win."
