Sifuentes Slugs Dirty Reds to 6-3 Win
The San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 6-3, at Pittsburgh Grounds today. Leading the charge for San Mateo was right fielder Esteban Sifuentes. He hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. San Mateo pitcher Ronald Fritz got the win, upping his record to 3-5. Nicky Bogdan got the loss. With the victory, the Dirty Reds record now stands at 16-21.

With San Mateo leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Sifuentes hit a sinker from Nicky Bogdan for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Dirty Reds ahead, 3-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sifuentes told the San Mateo Daily.
