Kingfishers Deal Lighthouse 5-1 Loss
|
No one was more impactful than Naganori Inoue in the 5-1 Pittsburgh win over Long Island. Inoue, who is tied for 4th in the PL in triples with 2, was 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Pittsburgh starter Craig Culver was credited with the win after throwing 86 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The Kingfishers raised their record to 13-21.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Edward Sterrenburg? The Pittsburgh first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 3-1. For the game, Sterrenburg had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
