Guangorena Hits 2 home runs in Lighthouse Win
|
The Long Island Lighthouse trumped the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 14-5, at The Dungeon in Halifax. Long Island catcher Kameron Guangorena was terrific. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 5 times and drove in 5. The save went to Mac Hippenhammer, his 1st this season. The Lighthouse saw their win-loss record go to 17-16. At the same time, the Leviathan fell to 16-17.
Guangorena had a timely hit for Long Island in the top of the sixth. With Nova Scotia trailing 5-4, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 7-5, Long Island.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Guangorena. "And not try to do too much."
