The San Mateo Dirty Reds knocked off the Boston Patriots, 15-5, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Dong-young Won was a big reason San Mateo won. The first baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The 7th-place Dirty Reds raised their record to 15-16.

The Dirty Reds benefited from an error in the top of the first inning. San Mateo was leading 1-0 when León Castillo hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put San Mateo in front, 3-0.

"I like to lead by example," said Castillo. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
