The Nova Scotia Leviathan topped the Boston Patriots, 5-1, with designated hitter Ricardo Águila playing a big role. Águila went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Leviathan in the win. Nova Scotia pitcher Nicolaas Eland got the win. He's now 1-0. Peer Slooters was tagged with the loss. Nova Scotia goes to 1-2.

Águila contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Nova Scotia in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Águila took a cutter from Peer Slooters and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Leviathan to leap in front, 2-1.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Águila said after the game.
