Friday, August 25th , 2045
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jesús Encarnación did today at Panda Park, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 11-10.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Encarnación said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Montana Pandas right fielder blistered the Oakland Oaks for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Oakland manager DAshley GoAs said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Jesús Encarnación hit a two-run home run off Ed Clark in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Foster McCoy in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Mitchell Isaacs in the 11th.
This year Encarnación has collected a .256 batting average to date with 55 hits in 215 at-bats, 51 RBIs, 25 home runs and scored 37 times. He has played in 58 games.
