Grand Forks's Romo Bags 3A Top Batter for August Friday, September 1st , 2045 Alonso Romo put together a good August to earn the M3L Single A Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Grand Forks officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Caterpillars center fielder posted a .250 batting average with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 15 runs scored. This year Romo is hitting .236, produced 37 RBIs and 11 home runs, scored 23 times and gotten on base at a .313 rate. |
