Case Burned Badly During Kitchen Mishap

Rocketeers first baseman Mike Case required medical attention yesterday after severely burning himself while preparing dinner at his home. Case apparently burned the palm of his right hand on a stove. The injury will reportedly keep Case out of action anywhere from 5 days up to a week.

PL News: Draft Pool Revealed

Earlier today, the PL released its amateur draft pool, sending organizations into a flurry of action. For the next 65 days, scouts will be trying to gauge as many players as they can, hoping to get a true sense of the character, ability and passion of these young men with professional baseball aspirations.
The league has created a special Draft Area on the transactions page, which will be available for 65 days prior to draft day.
The early favorites to be high picks are the following:
1. Nick Long, 21 year-old LHP out of college.
2. Jeff Fields, 22 year-old CF out of college.
3. Thomas Zachary, 22 year-old RHP out of college.
4. Arnie Dunn, 20 year-old SS out of college.
5. Tom Scroby, 22 year-old 2B out of college.
6. Gerald Simmons, 21 year-old RHP out of college.
7. Bill Zimmerman, 22 year-old CF out of college.
8. Chris Jackson, 22 year-old RHP out of college.
9. Rafael Trujillo, 21 year-old LHP out of college.
10. Jim Medrano, 22 year-old RF out of college.
