Rocketeers Stop Rainbow Mermaids, 7-5
The Seattle Rocketeers stopped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 7-5, at Boeing Dome. The Rocketeers got a big game from Gah-fat Liu, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. NaNomi Lojore got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Byron Joe closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 7th save of the year.

Seattle grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Liu, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in home runs with 7, hit a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Rocketeers out in front, 7-3.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Liu told the Seattle Chronicle.

Seattle, at 14-4, is off to a blistering start.
