Visscher, 84s Sink Patriots Again in Game 4
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of first baseman Philip Visscher, the Greenville 84s got a road win against the Boston Patriots, 6-2, in Game 4 of the ToC Semi-Finals today. Visscher hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the 84s, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 3 games to 1.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Visscher delivered big-time for Greenville, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Jorge Gil. The game-changing hit put the 84s on top, 5-2.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," 84s manager John Bosma said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
