The Alameda Airmen had to overcome a good performance from Kent pitcher Steven Carlson to claim a 3-2 win at Fuller Park. Carlson went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win was credited to Nicholas Sullivan in relief. His record improves to 3-0. António Gallegos took the loss. Thomas Rivers converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Chipping in for Alameda was second baseman François Khalifa. He stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Khalifa went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Alameda manager Javier Martínez.
The triumph puts Alameda at 47-43 for the season.
