Cut Off got a first-rate effort from pitcher Ronnie Gómez, who frustrated Lake Erie hitters en route to a 1-0 Crawdads triumph at Crawdads Field. In 7 innings, Gómez surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Bryan Griffin notched his 5th save in 7 chances.

Anuenue-Akua Kemikilio did the little things right to help the team for Cut Off. The 20-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jimmy Young. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cut Off skipper Pancho Salaedo.

The win gives Cut Off a season record of 41-34.
