Comets Roll to 8-2 Win Over Mangos
|
Getting offensive support from Ole Geenen, the Kent Comets topped the Kingston Mangos, 8-2. Geenen went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Comets. William Kelly recorded his 3rd save for Kent. The Comets now own a record of 36-30.
With Kent leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Geenen came up to bat against Kingston pitcher Jeffrey Wilson. Geenen hit a fastball to right for a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Comets on top, 5-1.
Kingston manager Billy Farley said his team was "out of sync."
