The Kingston Mangos faced a tough opponent in Kent pitcher Billy Ramsey, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fuller Park by a final score of 4-2. Ramsey went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Jayson McMasters earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The save was credited to Alfonso Medina, his 2nd.
Kingston used the clutch hitting of Heng-zong Fen to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Mangos the lead, 4-2. For the game, Fen had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fen.
The 10th-place Mangos are 25-40.
