Syracuse Storm starter Jim Hunter turned in a top-notch performance against the Yucca Valley Yellows at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. The result was a win for the Storm, 5-2. John Ellis recorded the save for Syracuse, his 5th of the season. At 35-27, the Storm are currently second in the Menard's A.
Raúl Bermúdez provided a timely hit. The Syracuse second baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Storm on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
Bermúdez called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
