Behind an impressive start by Scott Powell, Kingston beat Grand Forks, 2-1. Reliever Stephen Hollingsworth picked up the win. His record improves to 4-2. George King took the loss. The victory puts Kingston at 22-37.

Kingston used the clutch hitting of Heng-zong Fen to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Mangos the lead, 2-1. For the game, Fen had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

During his postgame press conference, Mangos manager Billy Farley told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
