The Yucca Valley Yellows eked out a 3-2 win versus the Lake Erie Arryns at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Nobody did more than pitcher Miguel Ávila. He was terrific. Eric Ramírez was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. Yucca Valley leads the Menard's A by 4 games.

Yucca Valley took a 3-2 lead on Dave van Schaack's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which van Schaack hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lake Erie pitcher Ricardo Hernández visibly frustrated.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Yucca Valley manager Santiago Rigney.
