Niagara Falls Expos starter Jerry Sargent turned in an exceptional performance against the Pontiac Godfathers at Pontiac Copperdome, resulting in a Niagara Falls win, 3-2. The 9th-place Expos have won 4 consecutive games.

Andy Gould, the 21-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gould contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Niagara Falls up, 3-0.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Gould told the Niagara Falls Chronicle.
