Late Magic Gets Kent 5-3 Win
|
The Kent Comets defeated the Syracuse Storm, 5-3, in M3L Single A action at Fuller Park. Kent pitcher Tom MacKissock had a standout performance. Chor-min Kim picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ivico Dobrica was tagged with the loss. The win gives Kent a season record of 22-19.
Had Barthelemy Caraccioni not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Caraccioni hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Comets.
"Winning makes the heart grow fonder -- for more winning," said MacKissock, cracking a smile.
