Niagara Falls Gets 6-1 Win
|
Jerry Sargent pitched a gem to lead Niagara Falls to victory over the Lake Erie Arryns, 6-1. With the win, Niagara Falls has a record of 20-21. Lake Erie falls to 21-20.
Niagara Falls used the bat of Tommy Wright to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Expos ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Wright told a Niagara Falls Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
