The Syracuse Storm stopped the Alameda Airmen, 8-6, at Alameda Field. The Storm got a big game from Raúl Bermúdez, who was 2-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Adrian Madrid was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

With Syracuse leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Bermúdez hit a bases-clearing triple off Alameda hurler Dan Barnes. It was the 3rd triple of the season for Bermúdez and put his team ahead, 5-0.

"We'll savor this win," Bermúdez told the Syracuse Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
