The Kingston Mangos faced a tough opponent in Mancelona pitcher Kade Gilmore, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mango Yard by a final score of 3-2. Gilmore went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Mancelona.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, first baseman Augusto Castro won it for Kingston. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Castro hit a 2-1 curveball from Danny Antonio for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Castro.
