Niagara Falls used a superb performance from starting pitcher Marty Bond to down the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 2-1. Jesús Árias collected his 4th save. The 7th-place Expos have won 6 straight.
Making an impact for the home team was Leonard Saunders. In the bottom of the fourth, the 22-year old center fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Expos.
