The Alameda Airmen weathered an outstanding game by Kent first baseman Ben Walters to topple the Comets, 6-5. Walters went 2-2 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Donald Houston collected his 5th save. Alameda is 6th in the Menard's A with a record of 15-14.

Alameda took a 6-5 lead on Clive Swanton's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Swanton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kent pitcher Claude Stevens visibly frustrated.

"It feels good to get this one," Swanton told the Alameda Herald.
