Yellows Get Past Pontiac for 2-1 Win
The Yucca Valley Yellows eked out a 2-1 win versus the Pontiac Godfathers at Pontiac Copperdome. Nobody did more than pitcher Kyle Horton. He was terrific. The save went to Duane Coleman, number 5 for him. Yucca Valley has a 3-game win streak, while Pontiac has lost 4 in a row.

Yucca Valley used the timely hitting of Félix Gonzáles to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Yellows on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Yucca Valley manager Santiago Rigney.
