The inspired effort of Lake Erie third baseman Andrew Potter was not enough to prevent a loss, 12-8, to the Pontiac Godfathers. Potter was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Adrián García earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. With their winning streak at 4, the Godfathers have raced to a strong start this season.

Pontiac used a clutch hit from Bindu Mongia to get the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Godfathers ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Pontiac skipper Júlio Villegas.
