Boston and Ft. Worth duked it out and the Patriots came out victorious.
The Boston Patriots stopped the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 5-3, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The Patriots got a big game from Dídac Nores, who was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Boston reliever Damien Morin, now 2-2. The loser was Kabeya Kasongo.
Nores contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Boston in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Nores took a fastball from Kabeya Kasongo and stroked the home run to left. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Patriots to leap in front, 3-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
Boston is now 47-46, Ft. Worth 30-63.
