Kent Gets 2-1 Win
Kent Comets starter Tom MacKissock turned in a top-notch performance against the Cut Off Crawdads at Crawdads Field. The result was a win for the Comets, 2-1. Bill Williams got the save, the 3rd for him this season. The loss has the Crawdads at 4-2.

Kent used the timely hitting of Ole Geenen to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Comets on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Geenen told the Kent Bulletin. "You win just by scoring more runs."
