Behind a fine performance from Brian Thomas, the Yakima Hops knocked off the Akron Blimps, 10-0. Thomas slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times for the Hops. The win elevated the Hops to 50-48.

With Yakima leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Thomas hit a fastball from Luis Rosário for a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Hops ahead, 3-0.
