The Toledo Saboteurs topped the Billings Polar Bears, 3-1, in M3L Double A action at The Igloo. The standout performance belonged to Toledo pitcher and Duluth, Minnesota, native Ed Pearce. Pearce got the win, improving to 2-8. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Pearce allowed 1 run. The win gives the Saboteurs a record of 31-60.

Toledo used the bat of Tom Connelly to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Saboteurs ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Connelly.
