The Minnesota Loons relied on the hitting of left fielder Sonny Day to stop the Toledo Saboteurs, 7-5. For the game, Day went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Getting the save was Jerry Williams, his 3rd. The Loons are now 55-31, while the Saboteurs fall to 28-58.

Minnesota took a 7-3 lead on Day's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Kent Copeland in the top of the eighth, propelled Minnesota to the win.
