Ortíz Hits 3 home runs in Saboteurs Win
|
Good production from catcher Manuel Ortíz helped the Toledo Saboteurs topple the Barton Springs Blues, 7-3. Ortíz hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times for the Saboteurs. The win gives the Saboteurs a record of 27-56.
Ortíz had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Harley Hawk, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Saboteurs a 6-2 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Ortíz.
Ortíz told a Toledo Times reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
