The Billings Polar Bears picked up a win at The Igloo, knocking off the Akron Blimps, 7-4. On the mound for Billings was left-hander León Morán, who played a pivotal role in the win. Morán went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-5. Stu Sutherland closed it out for his 6th save.

In the bottom of the sixth, Billings first baseman Marcos Vargas put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 14th home run of the year. Akron pitcher Raúl Nieves served it up. Just like that, the Polar Bears were ahead, 4-3.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Morán said.

The Polar Bears, at 53-28, lead by one game in their division.
