Blimps Lose Again, 5-3, to Ghosts
|
The Casper Ghosts beat the Akron Blimps, 5-3, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Ed Butler, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Luis Ornelas. He's now 4-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Ghosts. Akron has now lost 6 consecutive games.
Casper needed the clutch hitting of Sozui Amano to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts on top, 5-3. For the game, Amano had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
