A 6-RBI performance from the 24-year old second baseman Sherwin Tacod helped the Akron Blimps beat the Irving Blue Sox, 16-6. Fredrick Shive was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. With the win, the Blimps have a record of 42-27.

The Blimps took the lead in the bottom of the first when Art Hensley banged a two-out single. Akron had been trailing 1-0, but Hensley hit a 1-2 splitter from Jun-soo P'il for a 2-run single.
