Love Boats Beat Polar Bears, 6-2
|
Starting pitcher Vicente Castro was a major factor in the 6-2 Lake Minnetonka Love Boats triumph over the Billings Polar Bears. The save went to Jonathan Vega, number 1 for him. The third-place Love Boats now have a win-loss record of 36-24.
The Love Boats got a big boost from catcher Al Miller who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning off Polar Bears hurler Edgardo López. It was his 6th RBI of the season and put Lake Minnetonka on top, 3-2.
Miller called the win "a team effort."
