The Crescent City Krewe racked up a win at Field of the Krewe, bumping off the Casper Ghosts, 4-2. Marty Taylor, who started for Crescent City, pitched effectively for his team. Crescent City reliever Steve Parker picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Otton Asmus was saddled with the loss. The save was Carlos Rosado's, his 15th.
Had Sergio Vargas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Vargas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Krewe.
After the game, Crescent City manager Tim Norris applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
With the win, Crescent City pushed its record to 30-28.
