Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Casper Ghosts and the Akron Blimps. Casper won it, 3-1. Casper starter Danny Byrd was in command. Adam Wright closed it out for his 5th save. The win gives Casper a season record of 26-23.

Casper used a well-timed hit by Michael Wallace to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Ghosts manager Manuel Romo, "I like our chances."
