Love Boats Earn 4-3 Road Win Over Barton Springs
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Barton Springs Blues at Blues Field. Lake Minnetonka catcher Kung Wa belted 2 home runs. Lake Minnetonka reliever Jonathan Cooper picked up the win to move to 2-0. Chun-mei Bao suffered the loss. Lake Minnetonka is 4th in the Menard's AA with a record of 26-17.
Lake Minnetonka used the timely hitting of Cory Blatchford to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Love Boats ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Wa said.
